We continue to look at stories from the Gospel of Mark at our Sunday morning sessions of Generations of Faith. We read about Bartimaeus, a blind man who sat by the side of the road begging. He wanted to see Jesus and shouted out as Jesus passed by him. Those people with Jesus were upset and tried quieting Bartimaeus; they were not successful.
What was Jesus’ response? “Call him.” When Bartimaeus was brought to Jesus he heard the words, “What do you want me to do for you ?”
Jesus speaks these words to us. “What do you want me to do for you ?” How do we respond ? Do we have the faith needed to trust that Jesus will answer us and give us what we need ?
